A: No, Your Book Is Your Hook! is not obligated to publish your book. During our Private Consulting services or Curriculum class sessions, you may identify options for publishing your book based on your personalized strategic plan and criteria for the publisher you want to work with. Jennifer is happy to facilitate your understanding of the options you have to get published. You can also use our Book Proposal Service to write and package your book project and idea to present to an agent or our Literary Agent Matchmaking service to expedite your identification of and the proper approach to the agents to contact with your book project for representation.

Q: What if I don’t want to use the Private Consulting service, what other services do you offer?

A: Your Book Is Your Hook! offers other services besides Private Consulting including services for  professional Book Proposal writing and packaging, Marketing Platform Planning, Literary Agent Matchmaking, and a full class Curriculum to prepare you and your book to be considered for publishing and publicity.

Q: How do the sessions for the Private Consulting service work?

A: Private Consulting is usually scheduled through a monthly commitment of 2 30-minute sessions that are scheduled two weeks apart.  During each live call session, activities and next steps are identified and agreed upon for the Author to complete during the two weeks in between calls.  Authors have open email access to Jennifer in between call sessions to request guidance and ask questions about these activities if needed so they can keep moving forward in between calls. Rates available to schedule more than 1 hour per month.

A: Your Book Is Your Hook! is a full service, comprehensive book business consulting and marketing firm.  We are uniquely positioned to support Authors from the conception of their book idea to writing and structuring the book and its presentation to planning and executing the marketing platform strategy for the project to the process of getting it published and out properly in the marketplace.  We are an end-to-end, start-to-finish, “get it done and out there profitably” firm.  We provide guidance from experience and are well-connected industry-wide with all the resources required for your book endeavor.

Q: What do I receive as a deliverable at the end of the Private Consulting sessions?

A: The Author and Your Book Is Your Hook! establish and agree upon the purpose, intent and outcome of the Consulting service prior to signing an agreement, as each private consulting arrangement is customized based on the Author’s needs and particular situation in their book publishing process.  The deliverable is specifically documented in each renewable monthly consulting contract.

Q: What if I have specific questions about my book project and don’t feel I need Private Consulting services?  How can I ask my questions?

A: Your Book Is Your Hook! offers live Q&A sessions monthly where Authors can join Jennifer during an exclusive live open conference call where she will answer questions submitted by the limited number of participants for the call.  All questions will be answered during the call or your money back.
